Nancy Griff Biewen

I was born leaving Elmira. Both parents health brought me back for 20 years after graduation My mom's nature sucommed to dads alcoholism, always the main event. Both died after years of this ,in 1985 /1987. I put the drink down 27years ago.
I worked at terrible jobs but loved the travel jobs at Redken Laboratorys and News Corp.Since 1996 I have my own estate/ antique/ design business. I loved the work in stately homes, great stories.Im also the worst boss I ever had.

I met Bob at age 42 he was older, and in publishing in Manhattan . For18 years we had "one long warm conversation."He got sick, stage 4 lung cancer,and we lived that life for five years . I miss him ,he was filled with love,humor and our upbringings were so similar. It was a hot mess when you add in all the Kids!!!!!. I loved the family life which many of you started earlier. I would do it again.We traveled everywhere and talked about everything. A lot of me went with him.

I remember our SHS building with its shiny wood floors and I think of you all. We were good kids, we had our share of challenges. My company is called "ALL ABOUT BOOMERS and the by line reads "THE GENERATION THAT CHANGED OUR MINDS,CHANGED THE WORLD, AND THEN WE DANCED."

I loved that school building.I can see the wood floors. I can pull up countless memories. Lots of Art and Music and Theater were there. Also geometry twice!!!! Dances at the Mark Twain Hotel. Dancing in the gym after football games. My father and 5 siblings attended and had same teachers. (Mrs.Myfanny King)?

And then the day came, Mrs Chapman had to tell us that President Kennedy
was gone..Mrs. Chapman held herself together by grasping her old desk trying to tell 25kids something that changed us forever. She was so elegant in her own grief, I'll never forget her. She was a powerful role model.I made many trips to Elmira thru The years the last family funerals in 2012 and 2014. So I'm coming to see you all for all the good memories and fun we shared.
