Graduated from Geneseo SUNY and University of Maryland. Five degrees, 2 board certifications. Served AD USAF (8 yrs) then in Reserves (21 yrs). Retired AF officer. Have been in healthcare since 1970. Lived in South America, Alaska, Germany, and England. Retired from VA (October 2010). Associate Faculty University of Maryland School of Nursing (Graduate program). Retired July 2013 as Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist/Educator for Maryland General Hospital (University of MD Medical System). Continue to teach and publish. Currently Adjunct Faculty, School of Nursing, Notre Dame of Maryland University, Baltimore, MD. Highest honors received: Nominated by the US Air Force for appointment to the Surgeon General of the Air Force as Clinical Nurse Consultant; received the Veterans Affairs National Nursing Award for Clinical Excellent (Miami, FL, 2006).

Spend leisure time traveling and cruising. Travel up to Elmira 1-2X/yr to visit family. Relocated to southern Delaware in 2016.
